“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”
But no one looks in the mirror
Everyone is surrounded by things
That simply mask the fear
The funny thing about beauty is
It’s not even something to be seen
True beauty presents itself through feelings
Beauty is love – happiness – joy – everything in-between
Or watching my children learn a skill I’ve taught
Or the pride and joy I feel knowing that they are mine
Beauty is the artist that created my masterpiece
I find myself finding the beauty
In the most obscure of places
Such as the night sky and the peace that the darkness brings
It’s so easy to see the light in the beautiful world that envelops us
In her kind breezes in the summer that flow
Through hair, and across a sweaty brow
In my husband’s eyes
The way he sees me, like I’m beauty…
The world beholds so much more beauty
If people would just stop looking outside for attention
And just find the beauty that lie within
The person that’s in the reflection
