The Grass is in Fact, On Fire

Roses aren’t always red
And Violets aren’t really even blue
The society we live in
No longer speaks the truth
Smiles aren’t always happy
And frowns aren’t always upset
People judge too quickly
And our feelings are what they forget
The grass is not greener
When the world is on fire
The time for change is now
In fact, it is dire
Who we have become
Is the one thing we need to change
We’ve let things go to far
And everything is now strange
When will we realize
How much damage there is to undo
Where do we turn to in our struggles
You turn to me, and I to you
We are all in this together
Whether black or white
The time for change has passed
It’s not about who’s wrong or right
Its about making the world a better place
For the future generations to come
They deserve so much better
Than the world we come from
